About this coffee

The region of Santa Rosa is the backbone of the Guatemalan coffee industry, now the world’s eighth largest exporter. The warm winds that blow off the Atlantic give the region a uniquely early harvest that that is in contrast with the later harvest of Huehuetenango, meaning that Guatemala can consistently export throughout the year.

Santa Rosa’s vibrant diversity of altitudes, terroirs, and microclimates, makes the region an exciting origin for wild and varied palates, making it a firm favourite with roasters looking to source from Guatemala. From dependable blenders to exceptional micro-lots, Santa Rosa has it all.

Santa Rosa is a region that can really stand its own two feet and will only to continue to surge in prominence in the coming years. It has, in recent years, received a number of place holders in the Cup of Excellence, illustrating that in can stand toe-to-toe with some of the industry’s best.
